Materials and care
Materials and care
- Made of 100% woven cotton canvas
Cotton canvas is naturally breathable and absorbent, which allows air circulation and helps prevent moisture buildup around stored sarees.
The fabric is durable and resistant to wear, creasing or abrasion, making it suitable for repeated use and folding/unfolding of saree covers.
🧼 Care Instructions (for optimal longevity)
You can include these care guidelines in your product page or label to help customers maintain the cover and thereby protect their sarees.
Washing / Cleaning:
Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold to lukewarm water with mild detergent (avoid bleach or harsh chemicals) — gentle cleaning preserves the cotton canvas strength and colour.
Turn the cover inside‐out before washing to protect the zipper and any mesh/window portions.
Do not soak for extended periods as cotton can absorb water and take longer to dry.
Drying:
Air-dry in shade (avoid direct harsh sunlight for prolonged periods, which can fade colours and weaken fibres over time).
Do not tumble-dry on high heat; heat can shrink cotton and damage the zipper or shape of the cover.
After drying, you can lightly iron (on reverse side) if needed — but mid-to-low heat is recommended for cotton canvas. The natural durability of the fabric means creases are less of an issue.
